Privacy Policy

TrendSeed is a fashion styling game for iOS operated by Trendseed ("we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect the data needed to run and improve the game, we don't sell your data, and we don't show third-party ads inside TrendSeed. We use limited optional analytics and advertising attribution in app versions where those tools are enabled. Both are off until you make an in-app privacy choice. Access to Apple's advertising identifier (IDFA) also requires Apple's separate App Tracking Transparency permission. The tools described below can vary by app version and are used only when enabled in that version and allowed by your choices.

What we collect

• Account. TrendSeed requires Sign in with Apple or Google before gameplay. During startup, the app may create a temporary random technical identifier and then link your chosen sign-in credential to it so setup progress is preserved. We receive the basic profile information your provider shares, such as email address and name. We never see your password.
• Game data. Your closet, submitted looks, level, in-game currencies, story progress, and votes — stored so your game works and syncs across devices.
• Purchases. Purchases are processed by Apple. We receive purchase records (product, time, transaction identifier) via our payment partner RevenueCat to credit your account and measure campaign performance. We never receive your card details. RevenueCat may also receive the current iOS tracking-authorization status as technical SDK metadata. That status does not include the IDFA and does not itself authorize tracking.
• Usage and product analytics. If you enable Product analytics, we may collect app interactions such as sessions, screens and features used, challenge and story progress, purchases or purchase attempts, and basic technical information such as app version, device model and OS version. We use Google Firebase Analytics and Amplitude for this purpose. These events may be associated with a random TrendSeed account identifier so we can understand a player's journey across sessions and devices. We configure Amplitude not to collect IP-derived country, city, DMA or IDFV.
• Diagnostics. We may collect crash, performance and other technical diagnostic data needed to find problems and keep the app reliable.
• Advertising attribution. If you enable Advertising measurement and Meta campaign measurement is configured in your app version, we send a limited set of app events, such as tutorial completion, challenge starts and submitted looks, to Meta. Meta may receive a Meta-generated anonymous app identifier. We collect and share Apple's IDFA with Meta and RevenueCat only if you choose Allow in Apple's tracking prompt. RevenueCat sends verified purchase events to Meta so campaign purchases are not counted twice. If you enable Advertising measurement, RevenueCat may collect Apple's AdServices attribution token to identify the campaign that led to an install. Standard Apple Ads attribution may operate without tracking permission under Apple's privacy-preserving attribution system.
• Approximate location. When optional analytics is enabled, some service providers may infer country or region from technical request data. TrendSeed does not request or collect precise GPS location.

What we don't do

• No selling or renting of personal data.
• No third-party ads displayed inside TrendSeed.
• No access to IDFA unless you grant Apple's tracking permission.
• No optional product analytics or campaign measurement before you make the corresponding in-app choice.
• No collection of sensitive categories of data.
• No access to your contacts, photo library, microphone, or precise location for analytics or advertising.

Who processes data for us

Depending on the app version and enabled features, our processors include Google Firebase (authentication, database, analytics and diagnostics — Google LLC), RevenueCat, Inc. (purchase processing and attribution), Amplitude, Inc. (product analytics), Meta Platforms, Inc. (campaign measurement), and Apple Inc. (payments, sign-in and Apple Ads attribution). These providers process data under their own security and data-processing commitments. Some processing may take place outside the European Economic Area using applicable transfer safeguards.

Why we use your data

We process account, game and purchase data to provide the service and perform our contract with you. Security and essential service operations may also rely on our legitimate interests in operating a reliable game. Optional product analytics and advertising measurement are activated based on the choices you make in the app. Where consent is the required legal basis, those choices record your consent. You can refuse or withdraw either choice without losing access to the game.

Your privacy choices

TrendSeed asks separately whether you want to enable Product analytics and Advertising measurement. Both are optional and initially off. We remember an acceptance or refusal so we do not repeatedly ask. You can change either choice at any time in You tab → Privacy → Privacy choices. Withdrawing a choice stops the corresponding future collection by TrendSeed.

If Advertising measurement is enabled, iOS may also show Apple's tracking permission. If you choose Ask App Not to Track, TrendSeed keeps Meta advertiser-ID collection disabled. You can change Apple's permission later in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Apple's setting and TrendSeed's in-app choice are separate; TrendSeed honors the more restrictive result. Essential account, game-save, security and purchase processing remain active regardless of either choice.

Retention & deletion

We keep account and game data while your account exists, and retain limited transaction, security or legal records where required. Analytics and attribution providers retain data according to their configured retention periods and legal obligations. You can permanently delete your account and associated game data at any time inside the app: You tab → Account → Delete account & data. This erases your closet, currencies, progress, purchase credit history, and the account itself from our servers. You can also email us for deletion or a copy of your data.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct, export, or erase your personal data, and to object to or restrict processing. Write to hello@trendseed.io and we'll respond within 30 days.

Children

TrendSeed is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

We'll post any changes to this policy here and update the effective date. Material changes will be announced in the app.
